Florina Raicu - co-principal investigator

My specific research interest is the study of the human transcriptome based on the characterization global gene expression profiling of normal and pathological male germ cells by microarray analysis and the effect of the Y chromosome genes on brain development. I investigated some Y chromosome haplogrups associated with spermatogenic failure in the Romanian population and the genetic background of male infertility based on the Y chromosome microdeletion analysis. I am also interested in investigations of the androgen receptor (AR) gene mutations associated with Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, molecular genetics investigations regarding PAX9 gene mutations, molecular genetics ivestigations in ATP7B gene mutations associated with Wilson disease and new analysis methods of the ancient DNA.
